Most siding 'cost' pages online give vague numbers or exist mainly to hand you to a contractor. Our goal is the opposite: honest 2026 cost ranges by material, the factors that move the price up or down, and a free calculator so you can walk into any quote already informed.

Every figure here is a general estimate that varies by region, wall area, material grade and home shape. We are not contractors, insurers, lawyers, or doctors. Always measure your own wall area and get three quotes from licensed local siding contractors before making a decision.

One safety note we repeat throughout the site: asbestos siding is a regulated hazardous material. It must be tested and removed by a certified abatement professional. We never publish DIY removal instructions for it.
